Our God is Holy
SCRIPTURE READING: Isaiah 6:1-8
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty the whole earth is full of His glory. – Isaiah 6:3
To be holy is to have no sin. To say that God is Holy means that God has never, will never and can never sin, He is absolutely holy and such is the nature that God desires His people to have.
The slogan of the Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost says “Holiness unto the Lord” and that was the inscription the Old Testament priests had to have on their foreheads. The Apostle Paul says we must be imitators of God. That means we should act and behave like God in every way.
The holiness of God hates sin, the holiness of God dislikes evil and all works of the devil. If we want to share in the holiness of God, we need to get closer and closer to God in our daily walk and relationship with Him through consistent sincere prayer and serious meditation and study of His word.
We must settle it in our hearts that there is a closeness with God that makes a man eschew evil and the pleasures of this life. We should always know that it is possible to share in the holiness of God just like some men in the Bible did.
• Am I living a holy life?
• Is God’s holiness seen in me?
Guide me Lord so that I can walk closely with You and be transformed into Your image as I desire to share in Your holiness.
Without holiness you cannot see God
